I didn’t set out to become a consultant. I set out to build something that worked.
I did that, and now I’m excited to help others do the same. If you own or are building an independent lodging property and want a clear read on your business — financial, operational, or strategic — I can help you get there . . .
dream, plan, realize.
For seventeen years, I owned and operated a 16-room New England inn. When I bought it, it was a traditional bed and breakfast. Over time, we grew it into a boutique inn with a full restaurant and a reputation for thoughtful hospitality. As both a hub of the community and a favorite destination of overnight guests, we created a space of sophisticated warmth.
Room revenue more than doubled. Food and beverage grew from zero to half a million dollars annually. But more importantly, the business became steady, resilient, and clear about what it was — and what it wasn’t.
I know what it feels like to
wonder if you’re charging enough
carry staff problems longer than you should
debate whether adding new revenue streams will save you or sink you
love the business and resent it in the same afternoon
lie awake doing math.
I don’t consult from theory. I consult from experience, the kind that comes from standing in the kitchen at 6:00 a.m. and reviewing the P&L at 10:00 p.m. If you own or are building an independent lodging property and want a clear read on your business — financial, operational, or strategic — I can help you get there.

Service Standards & Training Reset
Overview
Hospitality is not buildings and food. Hospitality is people and how those people make you feel. Exceptional hospitality isn’t a secret recipe, but it requires clear guidance. Most service issues come from unclear expectations, not lack of effort. Over time, standards drift and staff are left guessing what “good” looks like. This work resets service standards with clarity but without micromanagement.
New Owner Foundations Package
Overview
This package is designed for new owners of small inns and B&Bs who are entering the business without prior hospitality experience and want to start on solid footing. This advisory helps owners enter their new roles with confidence and avoid costly rookie mistakes.
Food & Beverage Advisory
Overview
A food and beverage program can greatly enhance the guest experience, but if not done properly it can quietly drain time, labor, and attention. This advisory work helps owners clarify what role food should play at their properties, apply restraint where complexity has outpaced the return, and determine a path for growth if warranted.
